But when we giving dua (pray for someone), we say: Its basically another way of saying goodbye and generally when someone says it, i respond with you too or right back atcha but just recently i said that in response and the person got offended that i did not thank them for them wishing me a good day. Have a nice day too.

But when we giving dua (pray for someone), we say: As has been said, the common reply to have a nice [or good] day! or have a nice [or good] weekend! is you, too! my own reply, whether it's said to me by a friend or by a store clerk:

If You Stress The You And Add Too (You Have A Good Day, Too) It Can Be A Response To Someone Who Has Said To You Have A Good Day First, But On Its Own I Would Steer Clear.
